412,556 Advertising calls despite objection in the TPS register
The UK’s data protection authority, the ICO, has launched investigations into UK Platinum Home Care Services Limited after the UK TPS Registry received several complaints of unwanted calls against the company. These calls were related to the marketing of insurance and warranties for home appliances.
According to the DPA’s investigation, between March 4 and October 8, 2020, the company made a total of 412,556 solicitation calls as part of a direct marketing campaign to individuals who were on the TPS register and had indicated that they did not want to receive solicitation calls.
