Between August 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021, Posh Windows UK Ltd, a window and glazing company, made 461,062 unauthorized solicitation calls. The contact data of those affected was bought by a data broker in order to aggressively acquire customers. People who objected to these calls were also contacted, often several times. Furthermore, the number was suppressed by the caller, which made tracing difficult.
