Cyprus: GDPR fine for Infocredit
On the 22th of May 2018, they fined the company Infocredit € 25.000,-. The investigation took place in response to complaints and accusations from civilians and authorities in order to determine whether or not the firm’s actions were lawful. Determining this became imperative given the impending enforcement of the GDPR on the 25th of May 2018. Infocredit used and marketed the data of its Users without their knowledge or permission.

They also have to obtain permission from their customers in order to be able to process their data for certain purposes.
