Disposal of delivery bills in waste paper containers
A logistics company disposed of delivery bills that contained several pieces of information including: First and last name, addresses, subscribed newspapers, delivery information and various complaints from recipients. However, these were disposed of in a public waste paper container.
As the company did not have sufficient control options, it was unable to reliably fulfill its obligation to report data protection breaches.
No specific amount of the fine was given, but it was described as moderate.
