Social worker must pay 482.00 euros
A former social worker from the United Kingdom unlawfully accessed data on young people in need of protection and transferred it to a placement company. This breach of Section 55 of the Data Protection Act (DPA 1998, the UK’s national data protection law) was taken to court. The accused social worker pleaded guilty in this regard. As part of the guilty verdict, a fine of 412 British pounds (including a victim surcharge of 48 British pounds) was imposed.
