The recipient of the fine, a former health care provider, had unlawfully accessed patients’ medical records during the course of his professional duties, even though there was no business need to do so. The court ordered him to pay 250 GBP (308 EUR) in compensation to each person affected. In total, the fine amounted to 3000 GBP (3702 EUR).
