Penalty against private person
A private person from Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) sent e-mails to about 160 people. The recipients were not entered in the BCC field but in CC, which allowed each recipient to see all other message recipients. According to media reports, the defendant did not change his behavior after the sentence was set and continues to send hundreds of emails to open distribution lists every day. The data protection commissioner of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Harald von Bose, is therefore threatening further measures.
