Penalty against game website

The Czech data protection authority has imposed a fine of 15,000 crowns (approx. € 580) on the operator of a website. On this website visitors could play a role-playing game after registration.

Due to technical deficiencies, the participants’ data was not sufficiently protected. The data protection authority therefore imposed the aforementioned fine.
