Spain: Fine over 30,000 euros because of cookie banner
The Spanish data protection supervisory authority has imposed a fine of 30,000 euros on Vueling Airlines SA (Vueling). The budget airline has used cookie banners on its website. It had also informed users about the cookie policy. The users were aware that third parties could also access these cookies. However, it was not possible for you to make settings via a cookie management system or a cookie bar in order to, for example, prevent tracking cookies or only allow certain cookies. There was only the option to generally allow the cookies or to “continue surfing” on the page or not.
