Fine against Gloucestershire Police Department
The Gloucestershire Police Department, United Kingdom has been condemned for sending an email to 56 recipients, not using the BBC (Blind Copy) field. This displayed all other addressees to each e-mail recipient. The e-mail dealt with a case of abuse and was addressed to those affected and interested (lawyers, journalists, victims, etc.), which meant that the names of the victims and their lawyers were visible to the journalists.
