Punishment against Jusos Baden-Württemberg
The head of the “Association of Young Socialists in the SPD” (Jusos) sent a list of delegates to ten people, so that they assessed the general mood for a housing subsidy application. Since this list was created only for the processing of the state party convention, the forwarding to other persons (partly these were part of the regional executive committee, in part not) was not admissible. The list contained the following data:
- First and last name
- Age
- Place of residence
- place and country chapter
Due to the inadmissible processing, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (Dr. Stefan Brink) imposed a fine of € 2,500 against the former chairman of the Jusos Baden-Württemberg. The maximum penalty was € 50.000, -, as the incident occurred on 27.04.2018 and therefore took place before the entry into force of the GDPR.
